The Business Accountant (SA) designation is aimed at those wanting to carry out entry-level finance roles.
Admission requirements:
- Academic: Any national diploma or degree from an accredited institute (NQF level 6 or higher)
- Practical: 2 years relevant finance department experience or as a trainee in practice.
- Exams: Completion of a course and assessment in ethics.
- CPD: Must complete at least 20 hours of relevant CPD, of which 10 hours must be verifiable. This was recently reduced from 40 hours and does not yet reflect on the SAQA certificate.
